Michael Beach is a San Francisco-based musician. The formative years of his musical career were spent in Melbourne, Australia where he released several EPs with Electric Jellyfish (Ecstatic Yod, Twin Lakes) as well as his debut LP, Blood Courses (2008). He will be launching his 7" single "A Horse" on the night. Expect sparse electric guitar and compelling singing: .
"Somehow these songs seem to exist outside the framework of popular music, their structures both classic and completely individual." - messandnoise.com
Caitlin Park hails from closer to home. This electric-acoustic artist has been quietly impressing Sydney audiences for a while now with her cinematic compositions and warm vocals. http://www.myspace.com/caitlinpark. The Maple Trail is Aidan Roberts, frontman of well-loved psychedelic guitar pop band Belles Will Ring, playing solo. Haunting, atmospheric electric folk songs. http://www.myspace.com/themapletrail. Matt Banham is the frontman of Adelaide indie band No Through Road. Expect rickety lo-fi folk songs, delivered with panache. http://www.myspace.com/mattbanham.
